Acacia - Wood modular cake stand

Description: This 24 cm diameter acacia wood cake stand is made for versatility. Using this piece alone is ideal for serving snacks at the table, as a decorative object or even as a fruit bowl for fruits such as apples and pears that will give a classic and uncomplicated atmosphere to your kitchen or centerpiece. On the other hand, if used with an additional piece such as Wooden cup short  Wooden vase, Mushroom bowl or Wooden cup long, it will become a perfect cake stand for any dessert, pudding or pie.  Arrange tea sandwiches or bite-sized canapés  for an elegant presentation during afternoon tea or cocktail parties. Display muffins, scones, or breakfast pastries on the stand for a beautiful breakfast or brunch presentation. Use the cake stand as a base for holiday decorations. Arrange seasonal items like pumpkins and pinecones for fall, or ornaments and greenery for winter.Its texture of rough and irregular lines, as well as its multiple functionality gives it character and makes it a must in the kitchen.  In this collection each plate, vase and bowl functions as an independent unit, but once they are combined with the matching object, their function changes (please see last image for reference). 

Inspiration: Inspired by modular architecture and optimisation of spaces that adapt to different tasks, we conceived this series of objects made of acacia wood and sealed with olive oil. Concerned with creating useful objects that at the same time could be flexible and adapt to a way of living where fewer objects can do more. It was then essential the premise to create useful objects but at the same time to be an object of contemplation and beauty within the spaces.

Care instructions:  clean with wet cloth, not dishwasher friendly. Storage in a dry place. From time to time it can be rubbed with a clean cloth and a little olive oil to maintain its properties and ensure prolonged use over time.

Disclaimer:  given its nature, it is not suitable for hot liquids. Being a handcrafted product, the carved lines may be slightly irregular and the color of the wood will depend entirely on its nature. For us there lies its beauty.
